MIDWEEK INSTITUTE
Begins February 24th
Wednesday Nights 6:45-8:15pm
Lakeland Community Church
Join us Wednesday nights during Lent for worship and teaching. The teaching break-out sessions for this season include:
Spiritual Mentoring - Marta Gillilan
Spiritual Mentoring: Spiritual Mentoring is a one to one relationship where one can learn, grow and develop as a Christ follower. Mentoring has long been considered as one of the most deciding factors for spiritual growth in a person's life. If you are interested in learning about the types of mentoring, what to expect from a mentor, how to be a mentor and how to begin a mentoring relationship here at Lakeland, this class is for you.
Parenting with Purpose - Family Ministry
Because faith, hope and love are more caught than taught, the family has always been the primary soil from which Christ-likeness grows. What happens on Sunday morning may not be near as important as what is going on in your home Monday-Saturday. Although it is the parent’s calling to lead their children in the ways of Jesus (Surrender, Together, Love), you are not meant to do it alone! This class will provide you with the encouragement and practical resources you need to pass on your faith to your children. Childcare is available for this class with pre-registration. See the Family Ministry Kiosk to register or contact Jamie Davis, 816-554-0929, ext 112 or jamied.lakeland@gmail.com
Revelation and the End of All Things - Garrett Lahey
Revelation--it has inspired everything from Christian hymns to horror movies. It is associated with fear and glory, encouragement and doom, the reign of Christ and the end of the world. When sensationalism is set aside, what does Revelation have to offer the 21st century church? Join us for a sober, yet exciting, exploration of the final book of the Bible. It may change the way you see EVERYTHING!
Bring your Bible and a posture of learning.
